Emma Wright is an emerging artist based in Brisbane, Australia. A graduate of Griffith University’s Queensland College of Art and founding member of VERGE Collective, Emma’s photo media practice has developed through her response to environments she has immersed herself in over time. Seeking to challenge the status quo through her constructed narratives, Emma frequently intervenes in her working environments using performance or found objects, creating still and moving images that are both playful and unsettling. Emma was awarded the Milburn Art Prize for 2018 and was selected as one of eight finalists in the 2018 Macquarie Group Emerging Artist Prize.
